Apple Cinema HD Displays

I actually have something rather interesting to post today. This is a letter I sent to apple computers in response to their ridiculous prices. Read it and post some comments on it, thanks!

"Even better, it can drive two 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Displays*, giving you the ultimate creative canvas." Yeah, if your rich! Two of those monsters will cost $6,600.00; you can get a used BMW for that much. Don't get me wrong, I love apple products, but they are just too expensive. If the 30" display cost between 1,500 and 2,000 dollars, I would buy it, and I can guarantee you that millions more would buy it also, that would not have even thought twice about it before. And don't try to explain to me about how you wouldn't make any money, because I know how much it cost to make one of those displays. In mass production, including man hours, power consumption, and cost of materials, it only cost about 150-300 dollars to make one display. This doesn't include R&D, but even with that included because of the immense amount of increased sales, you would not only cover all R&D investments, but you would also make at least 25% more profit then you are making right now on the displays. Think about it, people usually hesitate to buy something because it is either too cheap, or too expensive. A lot of people including myself can’t and will not buy an apple Cinema HD display (or any other apple product for that matter) because it is just too expensive. You need to seriously think about what I have sent to you. This letter should not be taken lightly, or responded too in a “we don’t really give a crap” mood. If you don’t want to take this letter seriously, then forward it to someone that will. Thank you for your time.

John M.
